Chloé’s Colour Constellation
Picture book
by Karine Duperret
Emotions come in a wide spectrum of intensities, and in this tale, colours! Our emotions are often limited to the words we use to describe them, however, there are many more emotions than the words we have for them. For example, did you know Japanese has a specific word for the feeling of disappointment and regret after getting a bad haircut? Now you do, the word is “age-otori”. This tale uses colours to describe emotions, showing that emotions come in all sorts of hues. So what colour are you and your students feeling today?
