Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of
Western Macedonia

The Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education in Western Macedonia is a regional educational organization in charge of the administrative and educational supervision of all schools and decentralized structures of the Ministry of Education in the region. Its main purpose is to coordinate and implement the educational policies of the Greek Ministry of Education and to implement various educational initiatives. Being in charge of 410 primary schools and 126 secondary schools, the organisation works closely with the Educational Support Centres for Special Education, Environmental Education Centres and Educational Innovation Hubs of the Directorate, the schools and supervised entities in the region and takes initiatives so that teachers stay updated with innovative educational policies and effectively cater for the educational needs of contemporary student community.

Irish Primary Principals Network (IPPN)

IPPN is the professional body for the leaders of Irish primary schools. It is an independent, not-for-profit, voluntary association, with a local, regional and national presence. Recognised by the Minister for Education as an official Education Partner, IPPN works with the Department of Education, the National Parents’ Council, management bodies, unions, education agencies, academic institutions and children’s charities, towards the advancement of primary education. IPPN articulates the collective knowledge and professional experience of over 6,400 Principals and Deputy Principals.
